For Parents

Opening times: playgroup runs from 9am to 12pm/3pm. We open the lobby door at 8.50am for you to have time to hang up coats and bags. Please couldclock face you ensure that you are prompt in dropping off and collecting.

Toys and comforters: we are happy for children to bring in ‘comfort’ toys to help them settle into playgroup. Once children are settled we like to encourage these comfort toys to be left in bags or trays, so that they are there if required.

We ask, where possible, for you to try and discourage your child from bringing toys into playgroup that are not particular ‘comfort toys’. This is because these toys tend to get lost, broken or played with by other children causing distress. In the event of toys being brought in we encourage children to leave them in their trays.

playing in sand pitSpare clothes: we plan to offer messy activities every day e.g. sand, water, paint; so every child needs to bring in a named bag with a change of clothes so we can change them if they get wet or messy.

Reports: We complete a progress report for you at the end of each term to keep you informed of how your child is getting on in playgroup. apples

Snack time: please bring in a piece of fruit or veg daily for snack time. Some other ideas appropriate donations are bread, crackers, raisins, tinned sweetcorn, breadsticks, cheese, tinned pineapple, etc.  Please be aware we are a nut-free zone and cannot accept any products with nut ingredients.  This also applies to packed lunches if your child stays to eat with us.

Absence from playgroup: if your child will not be in due to holiday or sickness could you please let us know. We have holiday forms to fill in and in the case of illness you can ring us at playgroup between 8.45-9am on 01953 850820.
