9.20am - The door is open, so we can go in and hang up my coat and bag. I can find my name while you chat with the other mums or read the letters and notice board.

9.30am - The door is opened and I can go into playgroup. I hand in my name and the things I have brought for snack time, and find something I wish to do. Once all the parents/carers have said goodbye and left, the front door is locked to keep us safe.

9.45am - Once we are all in and the door is locked the ping-pong goes for good morning in the quiet room. We all go in and find a mat. The teacher says good morning to each of us and counts up how many children are in. We then count the adults. We sing the days of the week song and do the board to tell us which day it is and what the weather is today. We then talk about our playgroup rules and what there is out to play with today. Then we go and play.

10.00 to 11.30am - This is our free playtime. We can play with anything we want. We can play in role-play, on the physical equipment or in the small world. We can play on the computer, read books or do jigsaws. We can be messy or creative. During this time we have café. I can choose when I want to go, what I wish to eat, I can even help to make café.

11.30am -This is tidy up time. Sometimes we all do this together and sometimes we have 6 tidy uppers. Once tidy we go into the quiet room for news, story and songs.

11.55am - I get my coat and bag on and the parents/carers are let into the lobby.

12.00noon - Our teacher calls us out one by one to our parents/carers.
